Patients or office staff swipe a driver’s license or government issued identification, much like they swipe their credit card in many retail transactions. The information contained on the mag stripe flows to the desktop screen of the receptionist.
This screen, or Registration Page, captures relevant data and can ultimately link to a database or to the existing practice management system on the physician’s computer network. Registration is the initial step in entering data that may be stored remotely in a PatCare/Sterling-Wright secure data base (depending on specifics of your installation).
